Most photographers using AI are still just talking to it — asking questions, generating the odd image, having a chat. This episode is about the shift that actually changes your business: AI that does things for you, not just with you.
Sam’s been quietly testing this for months — handing over on boarding, follow-up, even parts of his sales process — and shares what’s actually worked, what’s over hyped, and the one habit that stops these tools from just telling you what you want to hear. If you’ve written AI off as a novelty, this might change your mind about what it’s for.
00:00.06
Marcus Ahmad
Hello listeners, old and new, and hello Sam.
00:05.11
Sam Hollis
Hello, Marcus.
00:06.14
Marcus Ahmad
yeah
00:06.52
Sam Hollis
You all right?
00:07.43
Marcus Ahmad
I’m really well, thank you mate, how are you?
00:09.37
Sam Hollis
Very good. I’m worried if I’m old or new now.
00:11.77
Marcus Ahmad
We’re both.
00:13.34
Sam Hollis
um but That’s fair enough.
00:15.13
Marcus Ahmad
Very diplomatic. So mate what are going talking about today?
00:18.49
Sam Hollis
So we’re going to come back to AI. We had a whole AI series relatively recently, but this stuff moves on so fast.
00:22.23
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, we did. Oh, Sam, so fast.
00:24.33
Sam Hollis
There’s a whole area we didn’t. It’s crazy. And there was a whole area we didn’t really talk about. It was really Marcus got me on too recently, actually, to be honest. ah Marcus was like going on about Claude. Claude can do this. Claude, I’m like, yeah, Marcus, whatever. But then actually, right, I’m going to have to, Marcus has said so much about this. I’m to try it out. And I was so amazed with loads of stuff it can do. and And kind of the main thing that I’ve started to use it for is what we call kind of AI agents or agentic AI, which people talk about, which is AI actually doing stuff for you rather than just the kind of up to now we’ve talked about, haven’t we, the kind of the conversations with AI, the creating photos, but not the doing stuff.
00:48.90
Marcus Ahmad
age sentence.
00:55.51
Marcus Ahmad
Oh,
00:58.97
Marcus Ahmad
Sam, we talked had that AI season at the beginning of this year, which is six months ago. i would say the whole landscape of AI is completely, completely changed.
01:10.96
Sam Hollis
That’s it. I mean, ah the stuff there you can still do. It’s just you can do so much more, can’t you?
01:16.09
Marcus Ahmad
You can do so much more.
01:16.28
Sam Hollis
they and All of that’s still relevant. There’s just so much more.
01:19.13
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, and but but yet, let me just say, for the photographers out there, i you know it’s still not i don’t think it’s good at photography at all. It takes forever to get anything decent out of it.
01:28.66
Sam Hollis
No, that’s it. So I, no, that’s it. So i I think as we’ve talked about, the key is about using it for for where it’s valuable. And I, to be honest, I think since we started talking about AI kind of a year or so ago, there’s much less worry about it from photographers and more, what can we use it for to help us?
01:43.02
Marcus Ahmad
Hmm.
01:45.98
Marcus Ahmad
No, Sam, if just before we start, and I’m not trying to eat into your show too much, but it’s been on my mind lately, and we will do a show about this, but I think, you know, having been diving into it for these last couple of months, there’s going be more work for photographers because there’s going to be a massive generation of content out there.
01:49.43
Sam Hollis
That’s right.
02:02.79
Marcus Ahmad
The content level is going to go off the scale.
02:05.78
Sam Hollis
There we go. Excellent. So yeah, I’m going to talk about, so I’ve been using kind of AI to do things within my business. So I’m going to kind of talk about what I’ve learned, what you can do um and things like that.
02:16.44
Sam Hollis
And i’ I’ve been using Claude, ah but I think as it always says, other AI models are available, but but the kind of, oh, there’s a hair right in front of me. going yeah, it’s just one past.
02:27.58
Marcus Ahmad
No way.
02:30.30
Sam Hollis
It’s just gone back. It was about that far from me.
02:33.60
Marcus Ahmad
they’re beautiful animals.
02:34.62
Sam Hollis
Anyway, yeah um so that’s where we get for recording out in the air. So now the hair has gone. So yeah, so other AI can do this, but kind of the stuff we’re talking about before the Gemini, the GPT, is end up with this kind of agentic thing. So Claude’s been really good at this. um So the first thing, as always in my shows, is why? Why do you want to use AI to do stuff for you?
02:54.17
Sam Hollis
and efficiency you know it can do way more than you can um understanding of some things especially data you know it can just absorb data and give you back clear reports that would take you know okay analysts who are really good at that sort of thing might be able to do it but you know for most of us it’s hard to you know you can look at the graphs and the data and you go that’s nice what does it really mean well it can just really dig into it and tell you and consistency with things too if you’re getting it to do tasks it will do them really great consistently
03:01.35
Marcus Ahmad
Mm, I’m too.
03:21.14
Sam Hollis
um So I want to run through a few things I’ve tried it for and also a few things you can use it for, kind of ideas of what we’re talking about when we say a gentry guy, what could it do, and then go into some details. So things it could do.
03:31.82
Sam Hollis
It could do your onboarding. So it can hook up with other bits of software. So if you’ve got um if you’ve got software for your accounting, you’ve got, say, spreadsheets with people on, you’ve got a CRM system, it can hook up with all these systems.
03:45.74
Sam Hollis
So if you’ve got a standard onboarding, it could do that for you.
03:45.98
Marcus Ahmad
and it’s o so Can it do that, Sam? I don’t think it can interact with your CRM.
03:50.62
Sam Hollis
Yes. Yeah, you can. It does with mine. I’ll go into it. I’ve got mine hooked up to HubSpot. It creates people in there.
03:56.58
Marcus Ahmad
Oh, with HubSpot.
03:56.90
Sam Hollis
It can add details to it.
03:57.43
Marcus Ahmad
OK, you’re using HubSpot. OK.
03:58.78
Sam Hollis
It depends on the CRM.
04:00.02
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, yeah.
04:00.14
Sam Hollis
But yeah, all of it. So everything you I’m going to come into connections later. Everything you can connect, some things you can do easily and some are harder. But yeah, I got it hooked up to my CRM.
04:07.19
Marcus Ahmad
Hmm.
04:09.19
Sam Hollis
I’ve got it doing all sorts for that. um Sales emails is another really good example, and especially once it knows what you’re selling, once you’ve written a few and given it some examples to kind of tell it, you know, what you’re on about, it’s amazing at that. And sometimes it now picks me up on, oh, you haven’t mentioned VAT or something. so that’s kind of, you know. Really good.
04:27.70
Sam Hollis
um Resource and content creation. And i again, we talked lots about this that don’t just say make me ah make me a downloadable resource about flash off you go. But if you’re giving it lots of your views and lots of your ideas and thoughts, it can then marshal us into something really clear and branded and everything else.
04:43.29
Marcus Ahmad
Exactly.
04:43.62
Sam Hollis
It’s that using it for the right things.
04:44.50
Marcus Ahmad
And it builds, as you say, it builds and builds over time. The more you use it, the more it gets to understand you.
04:48.91
Sam Hollis
Yeah, that’s it.
04:51.42
Marcus Ahmad
It’s a little bit, comp you know, there’s some crossover problems that the they have to start again, do handover documents, but it does build a knowledge of you, doesn’t it?
05:01.40
Sam Hollis
It does. And and within Claude, it you can get it to store documents. So I set up projects within Claude and then like a project might be sales email project and you can get it to go, right, please, everything you’ve learned in this chat, save into this document and put it in your central store for this project.
05:16.76
Sam Hollis
And then it’s got it as a reference, which is really stunning.
05:17.94
Marcus Ahmad
That’s correct. It’s memory. Yes, that’s right.
05:20.12
Sam Hollis
um and you can get it to write it itself. That’s really good. um Another example of things you can do with it. So I’ve used it with networking on with networking follow-up and I’ll talk about what I’ve done with that. But that it does all my networking follow-up for me really, really well. I’m going to go into the details of that. um So app connection.
05:36.62
Sam Hollis
So to be able to do stuff, it needs to be able to connect to apps, doesn’t it? It needs to connect to whatever apps you’ve got.
05:40.54
Marcus Ahmad
Correct.
05:41.62
Sam Hollis
And how well it does this depends on your apps, basically. There’s two classes of things it can connect to. Some pieces of software, unclawed, have got together and gone, let’s make a nice, simple connection. So for example, I use HubSpot.
05:52.09
Marcus Ahmad
Correct.
05:53.34
Sam Hollis
I just go into HubSpot and do click the connect to clawed button, you know follow the onscreen instructions, and two steps later, it’s connected. It’s the same with Google Drive, and then it can access your email, it can access your Google Drive, and a few things like that.
06:03.16
Marcus Ahmad
Correct. Correct. Calendar, e etc.
06:06.69
Sam Hollis
Some other pieces of software, I use it with Asana, I don’t know about the other kind of project management tasks that’s loaded with software, like I think quite a lot of them do it. Not all software does, so some software does not automatically connect with Claude, but then there are third-party apps that you can use to connect them together.
06:23.16
Sam Hollis
Now, obviously, that makes life harder, it’s more fast, you have to pay for the third-party app, so it adds cost, but it doesn’t mean it’s not possible.
06:23.58
Marcus Ahmad
you you
06:30.65
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, I think you’re a PC user. I think you probably got a little bit more easier. you know Being a Mac, it doesn’t like some Mac software.
06:37.46
Sam Hollis
most Most of it is, ah, so you awesome so and it’s nothing to do with PC, Mac. All the stuff I’m using is online software. Yes, software using on your computer is different.
06:44.79
Marcus Ahmad
Ah, yes. Okay.
06:46.61
Sam Hollis
So HubSpot, so all that stuff is like is cloud-based software.
06:48.66
Marcus Ahmad
Ah, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:49.81
Sam Hollis
So cloud-based software, quite the big cloud-based software, Slack, all the stuff that a lot of people use. there’s already stuff made to connect the two together. And you can connect to other stuff as well.
07:00.20
Sam Hollis
But as I say, you often need a bit of software in the middle, which is, it’s all right, but it’s just adds an extra layer of faft and adds a cost because that piece of software in the middle you have to pay for.
07:07.90
Marcus Ahmad
Correct. Yeah, it’s, some it it so yeah, it does, it does, for photographers out there as well doing marketing, it it does ah adapt to Canva.
07:09.02
Sam Hollis
um
07:17.31
Marcus Ahmad
You might not use that, Sam, but Canva, it, yeah, no, it’s it’s good with Canva.
07:19.31
Sam Hollis
You do some data. i haven’t hooked it up as yet, but yeah.
07:23.06
Marcus Ahmad
And they have now also got the Claude design as well, which I’ve been trying out. It’s it’s it’s okay. it’ Again, it’s one of those things that’s probably just easier to do in Photoshop if you know how to use Photoshop.
07:32.63
Sam Hollis
Yeah. um And then one thing that sits in the middle actually is WordPress websites. So there’s a big thing. WordPress 7 has now come out and there was a big fuss that this now has automatic connection with AI.
07:44.20
Sam Hollis
And my discovery is you can connect to AI, but it is not simple. I was an afternoon gone doing that. think the second website I did would will be simpler, but the first one was, well, literally when I connected it to my Google Drive, I went, you know, press the connect to a SANA button, filled you know, press the…
07:50.30
Marcus Ahmad
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
08:01.05
Sam Hollis
the permissions a couple of times and it was done. It was that simple.
08:04.22
Marcus Ahmad
yeah. Yeah, it’s a learning curve to it, isn’t it, Sam?
08:05.11
Sam Hollis
um
08:07.34
Marcus Ahmad
There’s a learning curve to this.
08:07.77
Sam Hollis
There is. ah The other thing is, of course, you don’t have to connect everything.
08:08.54
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
08:10.61
Sam Hollis
You can paste in text, you can paste in documents, you can paste in images, you can upload files and it can it it can understand and read them. So, you know, there’s no point spending hours syncing everything.
08:18.91
Marcus Ahmad
Oh, incredibly so.
08:20.85
Sam Hollis
If all you’re wanting actually is to get some data, you can just, you know, download some data in a CSV file, copy and paste the screen and it can understand it. So, that that you know, there’s always a balance this.
08:31.31
Sam Hollis
You can spend forever trying to sync everything.
08:31.89
Marcus Ahmad
That’s right.
08:33.46
Sam Hollis
And I think the key is what what’s actually useful to you.
08:34.14
Marcus Ahmad
That’s right.
08:36.89
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, I say the my CRM, I download the data as an Excel spreadsheet and it goes straight into Claude and it can work out from there.
08:43.83
Sam Hollis
Exactly. Yeah.
08:45.57
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
08:46.58
Sam Hollis
That’s it. So I’m going to talk through a few examples ah of what you could do, maybe what I’ve used it for and how you could set it up and stuff. So the first one is post networking. So you go to a networking event, um you come back with a pile of… ah I’m holding my hands up, not helpful for those people on the podcast who are just listening. Come back with the pile of business cards. Now, I have a thing that some people don’t give you business cards. To me, that’s still annoying because digital business cards, if there was one app, it’d be easy because you’d have one app to look at. But I find at the end of, nowadays, at the end of a meeting, half the people give me business cards, great. The other half, two of them connected on LinkedIn. One of them gave you this weird electric thing. One of you sent it in, which is just a pain in the ass. Give people a business card. If you haven’t got one, get business cards and give them to people. Anyway, rant over about business cards. I think I did that in the newsletter the other day. So after I’ve been to a networking event, um all I need to do now is I photograph all of the cards, which obviously isn’t that hard, is it? That automatically uploads to Google Photos. Most of us get that. And then I can easily just pop those in my Google Drive. Once it’s in Google Drive, I can just say to Claude, Claude, I’ve been networking.
09:46.89
Sam Hollis
photos are in that folder in Google Drive and off it goes. And it will read all of the cards from the photos. It will create every single one of them a record in my CRM. It’ll add into that record a note of where I met them and when.
10:00.31
Sam Hollis
It will also, if I ask it to add a reminder in for me to talk to them in a couple of days to to say, you know, didn’t we have a great time? So that connection with the ah CRM with HubSpot, we had a whole show about HubSpot recently, but other CRMs do the same thing.
10:13.42
Sam Hollis
is amazing you know it it just you know that would take me half an hour and hour after networking nowadays it’s bang bang bang take the pictures and it’s done it’s just stunning and it can create those records straight off really really easy no problem um but i get it to do more than that so we’d also then um
10:19.98
Marcus Ahmad
It’s right. So true. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
10:32.92
Sam Hollis
What it can all also does then is creates me a document, um which is a big pile of LinkedIn profiles. So it then goes, here are all the people, here are their LinkedIn profiles so you can go and connect with them. And it’s gone on the line, it’s searched for them on LinkedIn, it’s found all their profiles. And for those that hasn’t found the profiles, because I’ve met them.
10:49.54
Sam Hollis
It hasn’t, if you know what i mean. So something goes, I’m not sure which person is, but it gives me the link to the search for that person. And nine times out of 10, the person want’s at the top of that search. So that’s not a big extra step, but it’s it’s got the judgment to go.
11:00.79
Sam Hollis
Yeah, that’s definitely that person. That’s definitely that person. That one, not so sure. Here’s your search list. de And it just gives me a page of links. So I can just go through and bang, connect, bang, connect, bang, connect, bang, connect.
11:09.90
Marcus Ahmad
Of course.
11:10.04
Sam Hollis
job done what it can also do then if I’m not going to do it straight away it can go into Asana or if you’re using Monday or whatever else same thing it can create me a task that says you know Sam due on Monday go through this LinkedIn list and make the connection so it’s setting reminders for me as well it can set up whole projects in Asana so yeah and I it the first time I did it it took a while to set up but then you were away sorry Marcus gone
11:11.14
Marcus Ahmad
Job done.
11:25.50
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, it’s very good. No, very good.
11:34.58
Marcus Ahmad
That’s right. Yeah. yeah So you but are you on the paid version?
11:38.92
Sam Hollis
Yeah, so I think the the unpaid version does very little. ah you can I tried it and after about three minutes I ran out.
11:41.88
Marcus Ahmad
Yes. i think Well, it’
11:44.78
Sam Hollis
It was like, okay, you need to pay to try.
11:45.75
Marcus Ahmad
that and it also lacks the rigor as well. it won’ You do need the paid version.
11:48.83
Sam Hollis
Yeah.
11:49.91
Marcus Ahmad
I think it’s $20 month, for the the lowest one.
11:51.76
Sam Hollis
It’s something like that, which, and there’s not a, so if if you pay for the year, but if you do month by month, you know, $20 to give it a try is not, you know, it’s not the end of the world.
11:57.78
Marcus Ahmad
Gosh, it’s well cheap. the The only thing thing that i feel, Sam, is that it’s going to rock it up in price at some stage.
11:59.99
Sam Hollis
Potentially.
12:05.13
Marcus Ahmad
They’re going to get all these little bugs.
12:05.72
Sam Hollis
Potentially.
12:06.49
Marcus Ahmad
They’re going to iron them all out. It’s going to be seamless. And they say, OK, now it’s going to be X amount of money. And think, oh, God, OK, let’s go for it.
12:13.69
Sam Hollis
Potentially. We’ll see. So yeah, I mean, just that type of testing thing where you think, right, what am I doing?
12:15.66
Marcus Ahmad
We’ll see.
12:19.52
Sam Hollis
Well, I’m doing a lot of kind of data faffing. I’m doing a lot of adding stuff in. I’m going a lot of putting something in a spreadsheet, putting in something else, just kind of grunt work like that. It can just do. And yeah, the first time you do it, it takes a bit of faff and it takes a bit of thinking, but it then knows the flow.
12:34.06
Sam Hollis
It then remembers the flow. It remembers the problems you had the first time and how to solve them and how you solve them. So the next time you just go, okay, here’s the next Next time, off you go, Claude. And you go, okay. and And it’s learned and it knows what to do and it can just get on.
12:45.93
Marcus Ahmad
That does it.
12:48.63
Marcus Ahmad
How are you doing with the tokens, Sam? Do you run out of tokens on a daily basis?
12:51.93
Sam Hollis
the I’ll be honest, the only time I’ve… So that basically it’s like ChatGPT, isn’t it? That if you use too much in 2-1-Go, you will eventually run out of resources.
12:59.13
Marcus Ahmad
Yes.
12:59.61
Sam Hollis
The only time I’ve ever done that was trying to get to design my lounge and creating endless endless images of the layout.
13:03.83
Marcus Ahmad
Ah.
13:05.73
Sam Hollis
Beyond that, work-wise, never.
13:05.88
Marcus Ahmad
Images.
13:08.22
Sam Hollis
No, not…
13:08.50
Marcus Ahmad
but Well…
13:09.12
Sam Hollis
It’s across the limit once.
13:10.46
Marcus Ahmad
Well, I do. I run out um i run out of my limit by about midday every bloody day. i have it on two computers going at once, but i have had I’ve had a massive restructuring going on in my business at the moment.
13:18.23
Sam Hollis
Okay.
13:21.10
Marcus Ahmad
That’s why I’ve been doing it a lot.
13:21.98
Sam Hollis
Okay.
13:22.38
Marcus Ahmad
But PDFs it does you and screenshots, it encourages you to you do screenshots, but it does use up a lot of your token.
13:29.30
Sam Hollis
Yeah, we will, things like that.
13:29.78
Marcus Ahmad
it But it does refresh. You’ve just got to wait. you just got to wait, and it does refresh.
13:32.82
Sam Hollis
Yeah, that’s it. um So yeah, I mean, we’re talking about that. Yeah, I think limits is an important thing to talk about. So yes, I mean, there are, you get, I don’t know how they do it, but effectively, yes, within a certain period of time, you can use a certain amount of AI processing power.
13:46.43
Sam Hollis
So if you are really doing vast amounts of stuff or like Marcus, using several computers at once to really hammer it, you will eventually run out of resources and you can upgrade or just wait.
13:53.62
Marcus Ahmad
I can’t wait.
13:57.01
Sam Hollis
Oh,
13:57.26
Marcus Ahmad
I’m not patient enough. I’ve got to find out now on the other one. Yes, yes.
14:01.50
Sam Hollis
um So there’s that. um The other thing I’ve found with a lot of these things, which I’m trying to get to do automatically, is it cannot monitor things. So like I, for example, because we do websites, high you know people have faults, obviously, and we have like a ticketing system where people can send in a ticket.
14:16.93
Sam Hollis
people could email you for various things. And so what I thought would be really great is, oh, right, Claude, you know, every time somebody sends in a support email or, you know, you guys go and somebody sends in an email asking for this, can you do this, do that and do the other?
14:29.42
Sam Hollis
And the answer is no, it can’t. So what it can’t do is sit waiting for an email, waiting for a WhatsApp message or something and then act on it. It can’t do that monitoring. So it will only act
14:39.42
Marcus Ahmad
not even Not even if you set up an app?
14:41.69
Sam Hollis
when you tell it.
14:42.74
Marcus Ahmad
Not even if you set up an app?
14:43.22
Sam Hollis
No. So so you’re so loud you can say it’s the third part, so I’ll come on to it. But as it is, as standard, you cannot get it to monitor your email, monitor Slack, monitor messages, monitor WhatsApp.
14:47.26
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
14:52.66
Sam Hollis
you can It will sit and do nothing until you go Claude, could you do this? You could every day go, Claude, can you check all my emails? And it will, but you can’t say, Claude, can you sit and monitor my emails? It can’t, you know, and tell me.
15:03.19
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, right.
15:03.58
Sam Hollis
You can’t say, Claude, sit in the background. And if an important email comes in from this person, this person, this one tells me it won’t sit there and do it.
15:08.82
Marcus Ahmad
That’s right.
15:09.26
Sam Hollis
You could, at the end of the day, go, Claude, do things.
15:10.07
Marcus Ahmad
That could change. That could change in the future. I mean, the problem with all this, it’s data, isn’t it? It’s data and resources, et cetera, et cetera, and the planet all comes into it. But it could change.
15:22.89
Marcus Ahmad
Are there something I want to talk to you about when you when you finish talking, actually, Sam, about that?
15:25.75
Sam Hollis
Cool, so let’s just do the third call.
15:26.65
Marcus Ahmad
this you Yeah, yeah.
15:27.71
Sam Hollis
So that yeah, come in just a second. So was oh the only thing that you were saying about apps, so yes, there are third party apps that can basically
15:33.08
Marcus Ahmad
Or build your own app. I was talking about build your own app. I actually meant it.

Sam Hollis
Oh, okay. But there are pre-made, that’s getting complicated, but there are pre-made apps where you can get the, where you can get it to do the monitoring and then prod Claude.
15:38.31
Marcus Ahmad
ace Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
15:44.77
Sam Hollis
So effectively you can get other apps that like monitor your inbox and go, oh, there’s an inbox on that person and it tells Claude and then Claude wakes up and does whatever it’s supposed to do. So you can use third party apps to do that monitoring for you.
15:55.45
Sam Hollis
um So you can get it to work, but again, it’s just, you know, it’s more money because you’re paying for another app on top of Claude and stuff.
16:00.60
Marcus Ahmad
ah shut me yeah yeah
16:00.61
Sam Hollis
So, I think with all of these, you have to just be aware of the subscriptions you’ve got, don’t you? go, right, what am I already paying for? What am i paying for now?
16:07.26
Marcus Ahmad
Exactly.
16:08.05
Sam Hollis
Am I then getting caught and then paying five subscriptions on the top? Or and is it worth it? You know, it’s it’s working out the cost benefit like with anything in business.
16:15.72
Marcus Ahmad
ain’t indeed indeed Indeed it is, yes. But it’s ah it’s certainly made lots of leap foot leaps forward. It’s quite good fun to use. that You can talk to it and you know can understand. It’s amazing what it can pick up with your voice.
16:27.52
Marcus Ahmad
You can just ramble on and it makes sense out of it.
16:29.17
Sam Hollis
Okay. You can do, again, that will probably increase your, decrease what it can do for you usefully because you’re spending your processing time, the limited processing time you’ve got on decoding your voice.
16:41.21
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, it’s mainly it’s it’s it it’s main the PDFs, but yeah, it’s not.
16:41.90
Sam Hollis
Your types, you’ll get much more bang for your buck. Yeah, yeah
16:47.03
Marcus Ahmad
So I was going to talk to you about some, just very briefly, I see we’re coming to end show, but do you know much about these LLMs taking them off the servers and bringing them onto more of a local onto your laptop?
16:49.36
Sam Hollis
Yeah.
16:59.26
Sam Hollis
So I’ve, yeah, but it’s still all ah ah all the, most of the stuff is remote. So I’ve got Clawed Desktop, but it’s still, the most of the learning is not, you know, most of the Clawed stuff is still all in the cloud.
17:09.27
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, but is it?
17:09.66
Sam Hollis
It just stores some stuff locally.
17:11.70
Marcus Ahmad
It’s not through cloud. It’s it’s not through cloud, sorry. It’s another way of using these LLMs, LLMs, without going off-site.
17:19.25
Sam Hollis
Okay.
17:21.94
Marcus Ahmad
You do it on your… Yeah, it’s something i’ve just been reading about, and if one of you have heard about it yet.
17:24.69
Sam Hollis
Okay.
17:26.30
Marcus Ahmad
let’s
17:26.36
Sam Hollis
No, not really.
17:26.94
Marcus Ahmad
Maybe another time for another conversation.
17:27.83
Sam Hollis
Nothing I know about anyway. um Yeah, so to be honest, that was um that was most of the stuff I was going to talk about.
17:29.82
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
17:34.68
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
17:34.64
Sam Hollis
The only other thing I mentioned is data analysis. It is really good at. So like if you’ve got a report on your you know LinkedIn posts and you’re looking at them and you can we you can all look, can’t we go, oh, that one went well, that’s nice.
17:38.01
Marcus Ahmad
Oh.
17:46.51
Sam Hollis
Oh, and that one didn’t. so Well, that’s nice. I’ll try and remember vaguely. And that’s, you know, for most of us, that’s something, is it? If you can get your report data into… Claude, it will then give you some really, really hefty analysis, really good analysis.
17:56.70
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
17:58.86
Sam Hollis
I know that, but it will be able to tell you where to get the data from. Because sometimes I don’t know about you’re going, well, what data is the most useful? So you can go, right, Claude, here’s some data. What can you find out? I link posts, LinkedIn posts, and how I could do better in the future.
18:10.65
Sam Hollis
And what data, more data would be useful for you to have? And it’ll go, oh, well, I want this data. If you go to this settings and press this, this, this, and download, you’ll get it. And then can you share it? And so it will tell you where to get the data.
18:20.31
Marcus Ahmad
yeah
18:21.93
Sam Hollis
And then you can give it like the really detailed stuff. And it’s away.
18:25.82
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, no, that’s exactly what it’s good for, Samus Data. Do you have your setting, have you changed ah the way, the criticality of it all?
18:34.52
Sam Hollis
So you mean the model, so you can choose which model and which level, can’t you?
18:36.35
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah.
18:37.28
Sam Hollis
So I don’t often change.
18:37.46
Marcus Ahmad
Not so much that, no.
18:38.24
Sam Hollis
So if I’m doing something really complicated, you can do.
18:38.34
Marcus Ahmad
I mean, what no. no No, I don’t mean that. I mean, ah that the way that it it gives you the… information Like, if you go to Gemini, when you don’t pay for it, it’s all… Everything’s wonderful and it’s all brilliant. And Claude can be a bit like that. And so you have to say to it, okay, give me a critical view on that.
18:58.01
Sam Hollis
Oh, I was see. Yeah, you should try and make sure it’s doing that.
18:58.90
Marcus Ahmad
And so it’s a bit more stern. In fact, it’s a lot…
19:00.09
Sam Hollis
Because, yeah, cat it they are… Yeah, they are almost built to please, aren’t they? Which is why they had the issue with them encouraging people to commit suicide issues and stuff, because whatever you’re saying you want to do, it’s trying to encourage you.
19:05.56
Marcus Ahmad
ah boot
19:11.42
Marcus Ahmad
Yeah, that’s right. But you if you can, if you say it to it to be a critical or be more with ricker rigor, yeah, that’s exactly what I do.
19:13.59
Sam Hollis
Yeah. You definitely need to make sure it’s being critical. You almost asked them twice about some stuff. Yeah.
19:20.66
Marcus Ahmad
I give it one view, and yeah a positive view, and I give it a view that I’ll never even put it out there, you know?
19:21.13
Sam Hollis
Yeah.
19:27.45
Marcus Ahmad
So, yes, yeah, it’s good for it’s good to do that.
19:29.64
Sam Hollis
Yeah, that’s it.
19:30.39
Marcus Ahmad
Excellent, Sam. That’s been really, really good. Obviously, i glad you’re finding it good.
19:33.11
Sam Hollis
Cool. So yes, hopefully lots lots of, yeah, lots of stuff you can do to improve your business, make your business more efficient, make it so you’re having to do less of the grunt work. And please listeners, share what you’re doing with it.
19:43.48
Sam Hollis
If you’ve got some really interesting stuff you’ve been doing, you’ve popped it up with your CRMs.
19:45.27
Marcus Ahmad
Yes.
19:47.58
Sam Hollis
If you’re using it for onboarding things, tell us what you’re doing. We’d really love to hear that.
19:52.09
Marcus Ahmad
Indeed. Nice one, Sam. Thank you very much.
19:54.01
Sam Hollis
Cool. That’s right. And I’ll see you next week, Marcus.
19:56.98
Marcus Ahmad
See you next week, Sam.
19:58.48
Sam Hollis
Cheers.
